For prospective students

We welcome students with strong motivation to invent novel machine learning methodologies, to make real-world impacts by using data analysis, and to explore new frontiers of artificial intelligence research such as human computation.

For admission information of the master or doctor programs, please refer to Entrance Exam Information, especially, the Guidelines for Admission for Intelligence Science and Technology Course and Data Science Course.

Prior contact with potential advisors is not required for the Master’s Program. Apply directly to the admissions office.

For doctoral candidates, please contact us in advance with a CV and a list of publications, along with primary authored papers and a letter of recommendation from a person familiar with your research.

Unfortunately, we do not accept any “research students” in principle due to space limitations. We receive a number of inquiries about research students, but we will not be able to respond to individual inquiries regarding this.
